I followed the links but didn't open any of the docs.
I take it these people got these names or .coms shut down?

If so just goes to show the one with all the dough wins.
Wonder why they couldn't shut down paypalsux.com?

Maybe because it's now a ecommerce site?

Owners of domain names that are used for protest, parody, and criticism sites enjoy some protection if the site is being used for noncommercial purposes.

If the domain name owner's site is being used to criticize, protest or parody the trademarked entity or its owner's products and/or services, the panel will probably find that the domain name owner has a legitimate interest in the domain name. This will probably be true, even if the domain name is, for all practical purposes, the same exact thing as the trademarked word.

PayPal's legal department tried to force paypalsucks.com to change their domain name by saying the site was being used for commercial purposes but they weren't successful.

Copy of the cease and desist letter sent by PayPal's lawyers to PayPalSucks/NoPayPal in 2002.

TTBay sounds like a porno site.

Quote:***Updated: Introducing My World – A New Profile Page***

October 13, 2006 | 02:51PM PST/PT

Hi again...I'm back with an update about our launch of My World. As a reminder, your My World page is an updated profile page that enables you to showcase your personality and interests by combining many of the features already available on eBay. (Please read my original announcement below for more details about the features and functionality.)

Starting Next Week - My World pages replace old Member Profile pages
My World pages have been available since late September, and many members have started customizing theirs. We're pretty excited about the interesting and creative pages that people are making with our new tools!

We're ready now to move into our 2nd phase of this launch, which will make My World pages available wherever you see a clickable UserID.

Starting next week, My World pages will replace the old member profile pages. Soon when you click on a UserID anywhere on the site, you will go to that person’s custom My World page -- or if they have not customized their page yet, to a default view for that person.

Please note that due to the way these changes need to update across the site, for the first few days User IDs within some of our Community areas (such as eBay Blogs and our Community forums) will not link to My World. These links should be fully converted in about a week.

You can also access any member’s My World page from at http://myworld.ebay.com/[user-id].

New My World features and improvements
Looking ahead, in the next couple of weeks we will launch a new My World module called Favorite Searches & Sellers. This module will let you share your Favorite Searches, Sellers, and Stores with the Community on your My World page. Once the module is available, simply choose to add it to your My World page to display your Favorites.

Based on early Community feedback, we're also working to add new My World themes with different looks and colors. Stay tuned for more details on these updates.

More information about how to customize your My World page can be found in my original announcement directly below. I also encourage you to check out the My World Discussion Board to see what other members are doing with their My World pages.

Sincerely,

Sanjay Bhasin
Product Management
Soon, when you click on "me" page links, they'll go to MyWorld, too.

I care about sales. I don't care about dating site profiling.

The developers aren't sellers and do care about dating site profiling...and matchups...and blogs...and wikis.  Hope this helps.  Tongue
Well they said somewhere the ME page will remain,
but I'll take bets that this is the actual goal.
To SNUFF out the ME page so we can't advertise our off feeBay sites anymore.

That will probably be it for me I think.
I have had only eBay sale (that actually paid)
since July second... so I think they already flipped my switch anyway.  :Smile
Umm, hellfriggin-O, I didn't realize until just now that MyWorld is a complete ripoff  (i.e. it looks they copied and pasted) of Amazon's profile pages for reviewers .
