I'm getting a solid white page.
It must be an upstream problem or more likely Ray is cutting costs and switched from dedicated servers to a sharred sever. Whatever it is just think of it as a preview of things to come. Someday soon when you go to WP there will be no WP found. Are you sweating it Ray let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." |

I'm up and working by 6:15 every morning. But then, I don't spend an hour each morning combing out my fuzzy slippers.
~sigh~ I am up at 5:00am every morning regardless if the kids are up or not. I've emailed Karen. I can't wait to hear what her reasoning the site was down for more than 6 hours. Especially when overnight is when I get a lot of my orders ... Unique |
Scroll back a few hundred pages and you'll see how she knows this. The last time WP went down in the middle of the night it stayed down until Ray woke up the next morning. As I recall Karen blamed the downtime on an upstream provider (as usual) ;D

Ray's hamster kicked the bucket again. 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
I'm getting a solid white page.

The white page is the home page and stores. Here's the forums: Quote:Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections in /www/waggle/public_html/community/db/mysql4.php on line 48 Forum software mystery solved! -Ray is using free phpBB crapware!
So the server crashed (the 500 error) and MySQL (the white page and mysql errors) didn't come up when Apache restarted. This kind of confirms two things: A, WP's database server and web server are on the same machine (which would explain the site's slowness) B.WP's "infrastructure" consists of one dedicated server.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |
