RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Fab realized the error of her ways. Fab also realized that if she wanted to eat, wear shoes and pay her bills, she had to get the heck out of WP.
Fab is here... and she's sorry that she attacked anyone who ended up being right in the first place. Sweet Girl is right... it's very difficult to admit that you've made a mistake, especially to yourself. Fab is sorry... is Fab forgiven? (don't you just hate people who talk about themselves in the 3rd person??) |

Star, I am beginning to think that those who stick around like defined structure and firm rules and they can't function without them. That is why they get drawn into Rays web. Alskling, Fab did come down on you a few times and me too. The koolaid was pretty strong then. I don't even know her I was just so shocked and happy to see that she stopped drinking the koolaid and got out!
Yes, Fab got on my case as did many others. And Sweet Girl, I do think there's a kernel of truth in what you're saying. Some people can only define their self worth in terms of being part of something they feel is greater than themselves. They don't even SEE themselves as individuals, but rather as a cog in some big machine. They need regimentation and continual stroking. They want to be led, held and bullied because it gives them definition. They have little self-image or self-esteem and it fills that void of being "needed." These are the types that are prime pickin's for cults. Suddenly they feel big and important. They can't see how they are being manipulated because without that manipulation they have no sense of direction. Could you ever imagine somebody like Steven Job, Bill Gates, Meg Whitman, Rachel Ray or Donald Trump joining a cult? No frickin' way. The types of folks leaders like Jim Jones attracts are the exact opposite. These people love Koolaid. For them 2 + 2 does equal 5, because RR says it does. They see RR as Moses leading them into auction promised land and without him they will be lost in a desert of sin and degredation. Ray will continue to have a contingent of mindless drones, but mindless drones are not the kind of people that are successful in business. For this reason, among others, WP IS NOT A BUSINESS, NOR WILL IT EVER BE ONE. It's all about Ray and Ray's pocket and Ray's personal vendetta against eBay -- and the fact that he has to surround and insulate himself from the world with his faithful puppies says lots about his self-worth (or lack thereof). |

Quote:It's all about Ray and Ray's pocket and Ray's personal vendetta against eBay Actually, I'm beginning to wonder if it's not a vendetta against the WP1'ers who went after him -- not ebay. An *I'll show every last one of you, rake it in while I can, and laugh all the way to the bank* type situation. I'm inclined to think he knows very well that WP2 won't last much longer, but he's going to get the most out of it that he possibly can. And get some kind of sadistic pleasure out of screwing gullible folks at the same time. His initial introductin of the AdSmart at $10 proved that his mindless cult is willing to give him anything he asks for. Ergo: the now $50 for ads. Same actually happened at the opening, with those willing to pay all the way up to $50/mo for featured stores -- all for nothing. So, why not $50 ads? -- all for nothing. This creep is a master at manipulation and doesn't care what others are saying about him off-wagglepoop. The day ebay or adsmart or someone else hands him a cease-and-desist summons will probably be the day he closes down, and not before. It's all proof-positive why scammers make out so well in the world today. Lots of gullible fools out there to take easy advantage of. |

So what finally turned the tide for you? You and your husband were both pretty active on Wag the dog (I like that! at least I don't see a dog tail in poop everytime I read it ) I started to see a little doubt in some of your posts and then you were gone. I too apologize for questioning you about the number of sales you had and how you could continue promoting the site. I know understand things a lot better. :turkey1: :turkey1:

Very good points about what keeps people at Wag the Dog. It does seem to be like the bad relationship you wake up in one day and you never saw it coming.
Star, you are so right! OMG, the prove myself revenge of raybil!! Scary.

Ok, I have to tell you something that I thought was hilarious when I heard it.
I was talking to another TT boardie yesterday on the phone and she mentioned that we had all started cheering for each other. It reminded her of the drinkers cheering each other on. TT doesn't put Koolaid in the beer does it??
Good bye all

Lol.. I think the difference in the cheering going on is that we all think for ourselves. We all had to come to the same conclusion through our own research and weighing all sides. We didn't blindly follow the great TT God as it were, lol.
For myself, I'm happy to see some of these people starting to see the light - or at the very least begin to question. I really hate seeing these people get screwed, although I guess if you're going to blindly follow along, you probably deserve what you get. I just can't help but think that so much of what has been said is true. Some people seem to need that, it really is sad. AND WRONG for Raybil or Karay or Andtine or Christay or whoever the hey they are to fully take advantage. And FAB!!! I never had any issues/debates w/ you or your hubby, but I remember you well. Glad to see you again

I too apologize for questioning you about the number of sales you had and how you could continue promoting the site. I know understand things a lot better. :turkey1: :turkey1:
I finally realized what what going on when it seemed that every single time someone brought up an actual "business" related subject, they were poo-poo'ed and brushed aside. I was guilty of it myself many time over. I guess I just wanted everything to be sweetness and light but that just won't get the job done. The start was Karen's short answers, then the site was down a lot and my hubby is an IT Manager and every single excuse they gave, he just shook his head and said that they were full of, um... ya know... and I HATE to be lied to. The clincher for me was when someone asked a question that concerned me as well and and Karen answered in the most condescending tone imaginable, I knew that was it. I knew that nothing was ever going to come of this site and I had better get out. I quickly closed up shop and reopened on eBay. I hate the fees but at least my sales outweigh them. I left eBay because of the fees, thinking I could make more money if I didn't have to pay so much out every month. The problem with that is that I didn't make ANY money!! I did have a few sales but nothing like I was used to. It seems to me that all the people there have this "personal" vendetta against eBay and that's bad business. I know everyone has their own opinion on the eBay subject but anytime you bring emotion into business, it's bad news. I just don't get the cheerleaders on WP, it makes no sense to me. I hope the others can forgive my dopey-ness and hard-headedness as you did!! |

Actually, due to my loss of sales during the two and a half months on WP, I had to get a part-time job... sucks but true! Two months is a long time not to make money. I wish I had it to do over again, I would have made different choices but I wouldn't have met all of you! |
