Oh yeah, let's start a "welcome waggon" and go email everyone who is new. Spammers. Let's go email them with links to TT. Oh, yeah Ray reads your emails!! Ever stop to think they have read your boards and do not want to join in? Even if new sellers come on, anyone coming on now is in it for "BUSINESS" purposes. They will not be like the current drinking folks there to "support" WP. They will stay, notice they are paying $9.95 for zippo traffic (pity sales don't count), then leave. When will you realize, people DO NOT WANT TO DO ALL THE WORK OF DIRECTING TRAFFIC FOR SOMEONE ELSE OTHER THAN THEMSELVES!!! Yup, I want to pay for a site that gives zippo information about itself, deletes my posts when I ask a LEGITIMATE question, reads my emails....etc.etc. Get yourselves a website and start swapping links with other store owners and direct traffic to yourself!!
Ray couldn't care less if they stay one month, one week (which some recent store owners have done), one day, or one nano-second, as long as they give him $9.95 for the Smart Sell Pro package. The fee is not pro-rated, and there are no refunds on the "unused" portion of the month's store time. Get 30 ignorant, naive sellers to join - easy $300. They wise up after a week and split. Ray keeps the cash. Next month get 30 more ignorant, naive sellers to join to replace those left. They wise up after a week and split. Ray keeps the cash. Ad infinitum. Few of them will probably be lucky enough to get invoices AFTER they've left, and a few will probably pay them, to get Ray and his threats of collection of their backs. Ray pockets the cash. It's easy. Just get 3 or 4 cheerleading disciples to spam sellers on eBay, Etsy and Ecrater through PMs, and if each snares 3 a month by talking them into opening a store on WP just to "try and see", Ray has it made in the shade and did nothing to earn it. At least the 10-headed E-monster refunds sellers the rest of their unused store fees should they close before payment is due. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Lur-Kist thanks for the update.
As for the popper who wants to start her spamming from the last page of stores I hope she does realize that she will probably be spamming some non-existent stores or sellers who don't know that their store is still there. You know those ghost stores that have been talked about in this thread. Here is just an example of 3 that things just don't add up something very fishy if you ask me. Nutmeg Custom Crafts member since 11/21/2006 no founding member icon 1 feedback left back in 12/06 5 items listed Conquest Auto Parts member since 8/22/2006 no founding member icon 0 feedback and 1 item listed BASEBALL MOMS TREASURES member since 5/18/2006 no founding member icon 15 feedback but last one left 10/06 1 item listed for 3.50 There are more but I don't have time to go through all of them. # 1 why no foundng memeber icon they should all have one shouldn't they. The only way they shouldn't have one is if they didn't pay their bill and if that happened they should have been booted. Also it can't be that they were a member but maybe did not start selling until after the date the founding member icons were given because from the feedback on 2 of these stores they had sales before 1/07 # 2 we are supposed to believe that these sellers are paying 9.95 all these months to list just a few items with hardly no sales. Between these 3 sellers the lastest feedback is from 12/06. That just makes no sense at all. edited to make correction : Nutmeg Custom Crafts their 1 feedback was as a buyer not a seller. Also BASEBALL MOMS TREASURES last feedback as a seller was on Sep-23-2006 not in 10/06. So it's just 1 of these sellers shows feedback as a seller before 1/07. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Since I've been watching, this store "Conquest" has been there with the same single item for some months. Your source for all genuine GM parts, yet has ONE item (zero feedback and member since Aug. 2006!). This seller does have a physical store and his own web site, so I can't for the life of me understand what he's doing on WP, unless it's worth his monthly fee to have his name pulled up on a search right next to his own web site. Or maybe it's one of Ray's resurrected ghost stores, and the seller couldn't care less it's there, as it's simply too much trouble to deal with pussypisspants Ray about it.
Edit: Another one: "Baseball Mom." Been a member since MAY 2006! Not a founding member (an honor bestowed upon all who were paid up on their fees as off January 2007). Only verifiable activity: bought 15 items last September and October from the same seller (who blew the pop stand some time ago). Has one $3.50 item listed. Makes NO SENSE! Furthermore, in her store description she says "I AM NEW TO WAGGLEPOP". A member since May 2006, and is new to Wagglepop. Hmmm. How can anyone with the intelligence of an amoeba believe this store is for real? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Lurkist - Thanks for the update!!
Scoop - You got that all correct. EVERYONE who had an ACTIVE store before January 1st was given the Founding member Icon. So, those are Rays attempt to bring them back to life. Even if Conquest Autos is paying for a store, it is an expensive link to your store. I think he has some link in his listing. There are many sites and services that you can have a text link to your site for similar money but it would be on page 1 of a good ranking site that RELATES to what he is selling, so to me, waste of money. If it is his attempt at SEO, poor choice. Hey Lurkers - start putting a value on your TIME!! And anyone who supports a company who treats their customers like crap, lies, deletes things must have something wrong with them. Blind faith is saved for RELIGION! Business is business. |
So true. I actually still have a little over $2 credit over there! I had a bit over $5 but had run an auction or two since last year. I had an extra webkinz or something. If you really want to make some money on an auction, Ebay is still the place to go, you sure aren't going to get any real money as a seller on WP! Regarding their fees that they do not "credit", I have noticed on other forums that people have had issues, never get any help from them and just closed and then got billed. I know a few who even stated "I am not paying them" and actually reported them in NY. I wouldn't worry about not giving them money, only a REAL company would be able to afford sending someone to collections!!!! What's he gonna do, threaten peoples family, or mail some wagglepoop??? |
