Don't make people scroll down to see important purchasing information. This would include the buttons they will need to click on to add things to their cart, to check out and other calls to action.

We need to move the size and color drop down boxes closer to the add to cart buttons on our newest store because it would be really easy to overlook them. 

Some things you could do to establish trust would be to give a brick and mortar address, list a phone number where someone might be able to reach you, show a privacy policy and clearly explain shipping procedures.

Good advice.  Spending $15-$70 for an SSL certificate even if you only use PayPal is another way to establish trust because most shoppers expect a lock icon in their browser during checkout. If you can't afford $15...
