This is your chance to cash in on the profit of owning an Online Auction News and Ezine Website. This is a 100% hand coded site

The biblical quote in the listing is a very nice touch:

Quote:If you sell... to one of your countrymen or buy
... from him, do not take advantage of each other.
Leviticus 25:14

"100% hand coded" is apparently a local Kentucky saying which means "we removed the footer link to the ArticleLive scriptwriter's website " Smile

Quote:ArticleLive is used on thousands of web sites, in more than 65 countries. Shown below are a small sample of web sites that are currently using ArticleLive...

Here's another offering from the same seller, a $5000 listing for another "hand coded site" which bears an uncanny resemblance to the $75 MakeBid auction script Smile

AM has some real winners, doesn't it? You've got the guy selling pirated DVDs, the owner spamming and pumping the numbers, another Seller quoting scripture while selling hand-coded scripts that just happened to come out of a box, a cheerleader who copy/pasted a PSU wannabe site that he now ignores and a fake Examiner writing copy/pasted fake articles. The big deal is a big lie.
  Smileykoolaid  Ooooh Yeah!

How dare you accuse him of not selling a hand coded site! It was hand coded, just not by him.  Happy001

From the turbo-auction.com AM listing...

Quote:Turbo-Auction.com has been submitted to the main search engines, has had it's pages optimized for proper keywords and placement and has Highly Valuable Targeted Web Traffic Visitors being sent to it.

Established Online Auction Website Turbo-Auction.com Is For Sale

I guess the new rinky dink "established" criteria is 400 auctions, 32 users, no Compete, Alexa, or Quantcast traffic analyzing even available for such a low traffic site, 2 pages indexed by Google... oh, and the utter impossibility of a chance in hell of installing a remotely effective shared SSL with the $75 script. Big Grin

Quality is very good - 9.5 out of 10

AM is the only site in Google Product Search that has a copy of  'the complete series'.  All 5 seasons and it's only $39.00!  Toothy10

Every other site only has 'complete season 1', 'complete season 2', etc. and they're charging $18-$30 for ONE season. :blinkie:

Whoo hoo, I found me a bargain at Atomic Mall! Smileypartyfest

And do not forget the thread where Mike basically admitted to messing with the users uploads because he voiced his opinion....

Oh, thank you very much for that explanation, Xamer!  Icon_salut
Quote:Yesterday at about noon Pacific time I had a transaction with invoice number 1019349

Today at 1 PM (13 hundred hours for the military types) I had another transaction with the invoice number 1019530.....181 transactions in less than 25 hours....based on past quick looks I have done, that is almost triple the norm....and the membership count has been rising pretty quickly too....

If you subtract the sales of the 2 large cell phone accessories sellers from that total you're left with a site whose sales aren't that impressive...even including those 2 sellers 181 daily sales isn't impressive and indicates the actual site wide sell through rate isn't much better than any other small alternative's STR (compare AM to AlsoShop: 180/180,000 [on a good day] vs 20/28,000 [average  day]).

How can a site be a "viable eBay alternative" when the total number of daily sales on a good day is less than what many individual sellers sell daily? (2 examples: jay.and.marie receive 600+ feedbacks per day, TT's valleygirl ships over 200 orders per day, and there are dozens of other examples of individual sellers whose worst days are better than AM's best days.

1,700 items isn't enough to generate sales on a site with the best SEO and google exposure on the planet?  :Smile
and the real funny part is she says that about every site and has been saying it for almost a year now on AM.

Maybe if she quit going to PSU all day to correct peoples spelling, and hijacking threads with meaningless things that pertain nothing to the topic at hand... she just might get her "stores" (all 15 of them) up to speed... Sign10

But I doubt that will ever happen :turkey2:

Don't forget all the time she spends on OSU talking to the 20 or so active members. And don't forget the time it takes her to moderate the AM master programmer's (that can program like a whiz) Proboards forum (kind of funny they are in the same city) And don't forget all the times she wandered around Amazon spamming for Wagglepop, and cheering on new sellers at WP. She has no time left apparently to make money, only to critique and spam.

It takes at least 15000 cell phone accessories, or 1400 pirated movies (force-anime on AM) to take advantage of the Google exposure properly.  Happy001

1 page.  I don't think the unprotected /images/ directory qualifies as a page. Lol

Yahoo has 204 pages.  Take a look at what's indexed.  There's obviously a major security hole in the script and the /uploads/ directory is full of html pages linking to malware, warez, and porn sites -including at least one that I'm assuming by the title (9yroldnude.html) is child porn :blinkie:
