Quote:Yahoo has 204 pages.  Take a look at what's indexed.  There's obviously a major security hole in the script and the /uploads/ directory is full of html pages linking to malware, warez, and porn sites -including at least one that I'm assuming by the title (9yroldnude.html) is child porn
http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2FTurbo-Auction.com&bwm=p&bwms=p&fr=FP-tab-web-t&fr2=seo-rd-se

The seller obviously bought one copy of Makebid several years ago, installed it on several domains (in violation of the license), and never bothered to install the vendor issued security patch which was issued in 2005 (http://secunia.com/advisories/15985/ )

Other Makebid sites on the same shared server:

bestbikerbuys.com....HACKED
http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fbestbikerbuys.com&bwm=p&bwms=p&fr=FP-tab-web-t&fr2=seo-rd-se

buyerschoiceauctions.com...not hacked, but it's hosted on a compromised server.

AtomicMall/MemberZero should take some time out from spamming [insert any venue name here] threads and remove the $5000 hacked site listing (unless allowing listings for hacked sites full of malware and kiddie porn is part of his master SEO plan)...and ban the seller for being a friggin' moron.

edited to add: a "100% hand coded" Zen Cart they're currently selling for $3000 on eBay

Quote:It takes at least....1400 pirated movies (force-anime on AM) to take advantage of the Google exposure properly.

It takes 1400 movies and the word 'hentai' in every listing

http://www.google.com/search?q=hentai%20%2Bsite%3Aatomicmall.com&sourceid=groowe&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

14,200 of 154,000 indexed Atomic Mall pages contain the term 'hentai'.

Wikipedia Wrote:Hentai
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hentai (変態 or へんたい?)  is a Japanese word that, in the West, is used when referring to sexually explicit or pornographic comics and animation, particularly Japanese anime, manga and computer games (see Japanese pornography).

Hentai is part of his master SEO plan so that is entirely possible  Confusedtolensmiley:

That's 9.2% of AM's pages. The Bonanzle hentai count is 48 of 405,000 - 0.12% of its pages.

Quote:Hentai is part of his master SEO plan

The 14,200/9.2% hentai pages are probably responsible for more than 9.2% of AM's visitors.  Throwing in a few sex related words will always attract search eyeballs.  Look at the view counts on TT's General Domain Name discussion board: the top 2 are the threads on the legal battle over the Sex.com domain name (18,000 views) and the legal battle over the .xxx TLD (4,200 views) -no other threads on that board even come close in views.

Quote:Don't forget all the time she spends on OSU talking to the 20 or so active members. And don't forget the time it takes her to moderate the AM master programmer's (that can program like a whiz) Proboards forum (kind of funny they are in the same city) And don't forget all the times she wandered around Amazon spamming for Wagglepop, and cheering on new sellers at WP. She has no time left apparently to make money, only to critique and spam

If her enthusiasm for a site is any indication of its potential success, then I'd say AM is in very big, deep do-do.
Yeah. As a newbie to "alternatives", it didn't take me years to figure out that cheerleading for sites leaves your reputation face down in steaming elephant dung. I sure wish I could find someone locally that would work for free. Someone to market and promote my business interests and keep the minutia in order.

OSU doesn't have 20 active members these days. Averages have dropped by half since May. Can't expect better when management is spending their time writing content and keeping the members of someone else's business in line.

and some more  Confusedign025:

the  Smileybrainwashed members of AM don't even realize that everything Mike does for the site, is an idea he stole from others.

He is so full of  :lies2n: and all the  Smileyclueless think he is so smart...

One day they will all see....

let us see how long he takes before he takes yet another BZ idea and makes it his own on his site all while acting like he is the first to do it...  Tool

Busted
Now he is even spamming Mo's new posted thread.. lol

he just can't help himself....  Busted

"100% hand coded" is apparently a local Kentucky saying which means "we removed the footer link to the ArticleLive scriptwriter's website " Smile

Quote:ArticleLive is used on thousands of web sites, in more than 65 countries. Shown below are a small sample of web sites that are currently using ArticleLive...

Here's another offering from the same seller, a $5000 listing for another "hand coded site" which bears an uncanny resemblance to the $75 MakeBid auction script Smile

From the boinktard spammer himself:
Quote:My posts were respectful and on-topic Mo. Someone else came in and derailed your thread.

umm... which post started to derail the thread?
According to Webster:
"Derail: to obstruct the progress of;  to upset the stability or composure of"
Reply #4 from this thread by AM progr(sp)ammer:
Quote:Very good Mo. Will your importer automatically filter out duplicate listings or will they pass through and be posted on your site as-is?
#7
I see. So you could potentially end up with hundreds or even thousands of identical listings, depending on the dupe policy of the site(s) being imported.
You don't feel all those duplicate items might create a less than desirable shopping experience for your buyers?
#13
I'm not trying to crash your party...I'm just inquiring because I'm unfamiliar with your duplicates policy. Are you saying you generally *do* allow duplicate listings, or you don't?
Finally # 22:
Sorry about that - it's gotten to the point here where simple questions cannot be asked without the questioner being attacked and accused relentlessly. Getting kind of old really.

So, it is getting kind of old, really?
What about your #1 and #2 spammers cheerleaders Sciencefare and PS that hop into any thread they want and post their wonderful lives at AM, then bash anyone who disagrees with them over the head with the Koolaid pitcher?

Or perhaps when his site was mentioned here:
http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtopic.php?p=262190&highlight=#262190
And he came right out and attacked another site here, just for his site's name being mentioned?
http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtopic.php?p=262190&highlight=#262252

Or perhaps here where he launched an unprovoked attack on another site with his buddy SF?
http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtopic.php?p=258336&highlight=#258336

Or perhaps when he attacked and bashed a PSU member incessantly until that member was banned, beginning with the ultra-mature MoRay-like response:

Hmm... Getting kind of old really?
