Thoughts on Browser Compatibility from the Land of Rinky Dink
AtomicMall's owner- users need to install a different browser if their current browser is incompatible with Atomic Mall
AlsoShop owner MoPuppet- Apple needs to rewrite their Safari Browser so it will be compatible with PHP Pro Bid sites
MoPuppet Wrote:Most auction sites are not going to be compatible with Safari. Never have been. Its not the sites fault.. Its a Apple/Mac issue. if you are looking for internet security in your browser, use Firefox. And you will find this issue with every phpprobid site.
If you want Safari to be compatible with the sites... complain to Mac.

Here's a much needed link for the Rinky Dink owners of the world:

Users need to install a different browser? WTF?? Customers don't know that. They surf to the site, it's a P.O.S. and they leave. End of story. One chance, first impression. *Poof*
I remember the first time I saw one of my sites in the WebTV simulator...I curled into a fetal position and wept for an hour.
Owners who aren't achieving cross browser compatibility with current technology will loose traffic share as advances in technology leaves their sites behind.
My 15" laptop still shows a 1/4" L/R scroll at AtomicMall - improved over the 2" scroll but what's the customer who's using a netbook with a 10" x 7" screen supposed to do? Or an iPhone of less than 3-1/2" and low resolution? Those customers won't get new browsers, they'll use sites that appreciate their business.

I love Pingomatic!

PH was even nice enough to create categories for the counterfeiters.
arcasm1:
handbags>Louis Vuitton
handbags>Gucci
handbags>Prada
wallets and purses>Louis Vuitton
They're probably one of the only sites whose terms of service don't contain a prohibited list of items. There is no wording in the TOS prohibiting the listing of items which infringe others' trademarks, are counterfeit, or are stolen. They have a chat board conduct policy but absolutely no listing policy.
This is an interesting exchange:

Lot of illegal drugs, fake designer bags & porn.
I am sure the site will come under federal investigation soon for selling drugs (including pain killers & viagra, cialis etc) and also lawsuit from name brands for selling fake designer bags.

What a shock, the boinktard who once defended the right of people to sell empty prescription bottles on eBay, and whose own site Plunderhere is full of counterfeits, isn't bothered by the sale of illegal drugs or counterfeits on iOffer. :
Which one of you boinktards broke the thread?
Edited to add: I feel like I am at Atomic Small with the sideways scroll and all the purple.
