the weasel of a million fake LLC name Wrote:August, another month known for slow summer heat sales, turned out to be a pretty decent month for Sales - 573 items sold, Congratulations!
Sales for all months: http://www.alsoshop.com/sold_items.php?start=1249099201&end=1251777541

Alsoshop August site wide GMV $1,623..... average sales price $2.83...there are 83 stores

Anybody who thinks $19.55 gross per store owner is a decent month needs to lay off the crack pipe.  That's 63 cents per day GROSS.

Put down the bottle of booze and the crack pipe fisherman! $19.55 monthly per seller isn't decent, IT SUCKS!

edit...................whee
ALSOSHOP TRIVIA GAME:
name the PSU mod who has 2 sales in 17 months on ASs.
I didn't know they had such bargains. Now, only if it didn't take a minute for each page to load, I could check it out.

Barren auction sites with no competing buyers.....gotta love it.

OK, well, forget that. At 10 items a page, it's gonna take me forever to get through the 10 cent baseball cards.

$2.83 plus shipping isn't a bargain when you can get the same stuff for free locally.  Angel1
The average sale on aSs is actually much lower than other tiny auction sites simply because the cycle starts with them. Then, sellers who know better than to visit a site run by a self proclaimed "hack" and "pimpmaster" will shop there to buy their inventory for the sites with a hundred or so more sellers, like Webidz or Specialist Auctions, or Atomic Mall. They can resell the products for more than their total cost plus shipping, then charge more than that elsewhere because no one wants anything to do with Ray and Mo's "vision" for online shopping.

So, you can dig around the trash for it yourself, buy it on aSs for a few bucks, or pay 3x as much on yet a third inventory recycling site.  Happy001

That's the type of person these rinky dink admins follow and entrust with their membership's info.

If every rinky dink seller had started their own website instead of jumping from site to site, they would have 10x the SEO of an AM or aSs, real stability in the eyes of customers, and a flourishing business because of it. This doesn't even count all... and I mean ALL... the different real marketplace aggregators and search engines these sellers could have sent their feeds into (NO, not traffic swaps like Explorz) and not wasted all those days of time on transferring and formatting all their files into a new site.

It's a decent month in comparison to Milbid Confusedtolensmiley: which over the past 19 months has averaged 17 monthly sales, $103 monthly site wide GMV - $2.51 monthly per storeowner

Amazing how his "nice interesting metrics" stats are also total B.S.
.12% from Germany on the Fisherman's stats.
According to Mo's beloved Quantcast stats directly measured from her site, it's 19.66%.
.13% from the UK on the Fisherman's stats.
According to Mo's beloved Quantcast stats directly measured from her site, it's 2.35%.

Oh, duh... Sometimes I have a bad day... I see where all these stats are "true" now, they go in his "Network" and "Unresolved" visitor categories.

Here's the pudding... from March through August, 6 straight months of slow sales according to the fisherman:
Quote:August, another month known for slow summer heat sales...
July, another month generally known for slow sales...
June, another month generally known for slow sales...
May, a typically slow month for sales...
April, a typically mild month for sales...
March, a typically slow month for sales...
Anyone want to bet that September through November will all be "typically slow months" on aSs, while the real world is having an early Halloween and Christmas rush?

This is why rinky dink cons can keep their folks around. They gain the seller's trust, then start lying to them. Then the members just aSsume they are being told the truth, the site is still growing, but never really check for themselves. This is just what Ray Romeo did, giving shady stats and not giving the real picture, where most of the traffic was from spam and traffic exchanges. This goes hand in hand with his falsified stat "sheep" mod, his torrent script, and the aSs front page "online visitors" when it's really the number that has visited and left over a period of time. Little white lies makes a fisherman have to pad listing counts.  Happy001

For all the times I talk bad about certain sites, there are many I won't because at least they are honest and don't mislead their members or prospects with false or doctored information.
USIFF - Low traffic, low sales, but the owner is totally honest about it.
Webidz - Horrific loading times, very few sales for the size of the site, but the owner is honest about it.
Wensy - No SSL, Slow sales everywhere but coins and cards, but the owner is honest about it.

Strive for that reputation Ray, that's where you should be with your years of "mentoring" auction site owners. Say your site traffic sucks, but keep trying, and a few non-aSs users will have a bit of respect for you. But then again, there is torrentscript.com.  Happy001
Buyer experience tards on parade:

Plunderhere:
67,470 total listings
17,425 listings lumped together in "imported items" category
21,649 listings lumped together in "from other venues" category
-----------------------------------
39,074 (58%) of the site's listings are miscategorized. Any buyer who visits the imported categories will hit the back button.  Back button = no sale. No sale = mod writer binarywebs and PH owners Marktard and Bidboink are morons.
