Message to Ray: FTP Uploads are screwed up on Google's end (and have been for 2 1/2 weeks). Nothing uploaded through FTP is being updated. Until Google fixes the problem you'll need to go to the Base site and manually upload your feed file through your Base account for it to appear on Base/Froogle.

Sherrand,
Thanks for pointing me here. I was a seller at wagglepop. I did post the message above asking why. The 359 auctions was only a porition of what I have available. When I posted the question it took all of 7 minutes ( I kept count as I knew it was coming) before it was removed and I was permanately suspended. I got a email from the great Karen at CS from WP and was told that this was a inapropriate behavior. I replied asking can you please answer my question about my feeds. The only people that were coming to my store was people from WP. I did have a few exceptions. I had my paypal (which I hate to use) from Ebay (which I also hate to use) redirected and only about 5 in two weeks even went into wagglepop. I still sale 10 to 20 things a day on Feebay. So this made me begin to wonder why noone was wanting to go there. I started reading posts on PSU that stated everything that happened to me. As soon as I put the post up I got suspended and threatened with being a non paying seller. The thing is that pissed me off. I paid my fee's 2 days ago and have made no sales so I don't owe them a dime. Do you guys know of any alternatives that does do pretty good with sales. I am really looking to get rid of Feebay for good. There fee's are killing me. I paid $1500.00 just to them last month not including paypal. I would love to open my own s web store but I have no knowledge of how to do so.
Thanks all for listening to a pissed seller,
Keith
Chiquita,
I've never been here. I read and post on PSU. I have been with them for a few weeks now. Sherrand gave me your site and I am now here to read and learn. Nice to meet you all.

Glad you found us. We are a wild and crazy bunch. Sherrand is the ambassador of all things TT.Â
You might even know some of the posters here already.
Again welcome
Thanks Chiquita, I do recognize a couple people here from PSU. I'm glad to meet you all. Can any of you tell me a good site to sale at other than Feebay? I have auctions now at Ebid, Blujay, bidville but I haven't had any luck with any of them. Of course I was only advertising WP thinking they were going to make it. The only thing they are making is a little money from what few sellers that are left. As I said in my last email to Karen from WP. It won't be long with the way the idiots are running the place the doors will close for a second time.

Many sellers are having some luck with ecrater. It is totally free so worth a go. They froogle feed, and offer google checkout and paypal. The forums on ecrater are full of info. too. Many of us have stores so if you need help just ask. You can still use ebay as a customer acquisition tool, and direct your customers to ecrater, et. al.
I already closed my ebay store, but will be using the core to redirect to my website and ecrater store soon.
What do you sell? There might be other places available depending on your items. Amazon is good for books, and Esty for handmade items.
keith_m71,
I see one of the new Showcase stores I talked about (Ghost store) a while back has made an apperence.

Chiquita,
I mostly deal with  movie swords and knives of every kind. I did recently start selling perfume cologne tools pressure washers. Just anything I could get my hands on to make extra cash as we all are. It just seems that my main sellers are still the swords. I have been watching Ebid closely and they are really putting the money in their site. They just done a total revamp and it looks very nice. They are looking at it from a business standpoint from what I have seen. They just bought a new server From the U.S. because they are based in the U.K. to double their speed and also link each of the different sites together. If they keep heading in the direction they are going since I joined about a month ago. They will make it big. One thing that could be hurting me as well is Feedback. I have over 1500 on Feebay but just a few elsewhere. So I need to start buying things on my other sites to get my feedback higher. It may help. Out of all the ones I mentioned earlier. I did sale a radar detector on Ebid. So I lied unintentional, I just don't have all my stock there. I did have a good bit at WP but oh well.

Keith,
The one thing about ecrater is that most buyers don't leave feedback, or check feedback because buying on ecrater is like buying on a website. They go in and use a shopping cart, go to checkout and pay. The feedback is generated by email to the buyer after the transaction. I think it may end up picked up by the spam filters, and not even be seen by buyers. I have only had 4 people leave it. The majority don't so the rigorous task of buying items to build feedback is not a hard pressed issue. In fact my first purchase was just recently from scoop. I have been selling on ecrater for about 4 months or so.
I don't know about Ebid, but others here might. Selling swords may be for you a niche market. Just keep in mind no matter where you sell off of Ebay you will have to promote and market your items. That is the reality for all of us, even if you have a website. There are many good articles here on TT that cover a ton of topics regarding SEO, directories, etc... When you have time go explore the site.Â
keith,
Glad you made it over here. I won't be answering your last email as you obviously solved the problem.
Have you looked at Tazbar as a possible venue? From your eBay experience, do you sell frequently to England, other European countries or just internationally in general? If Europe is in the picture then Tazbar would serve you well. They are also UK based and growing rapidly. There is no cost to list - only final value fees so you would have nothing to lose by giving them a try.
I know your boot out the door came rather suddenly but have you got back-ups of your listings? If so you can just copy/paste them into Tazbar and you're up and running again in no time.
Speaking of your listings, are you aware they are still active on WP and open for purchase? This happens and has happened to many poppers that left...shall we say...abruptly. Unless each listing is manually closed which of course you didn't have the time to do they remain. They won't show up in a site search but they could show up through an SEO search of if an item was bookmarked on WP by a potential buyer.
As far as KaRay's claim you owe them money - tell that idiot to go pound salt. Many of us were given the same line ofÂ
. Some paid to make WP go away but some ex-sellers told him eat
. You will be threatened with legal action if you do not comply. Call him on it. It's an empty threat.
You have had a first hand taste of how thisÂ
operates but it's just a drop in the bucket. When you have time cruise through the pages of the thread and you'll learn just how unscrupulous a character KaRay really is.
He's a
jerk.
