Better try to copy this one too before it's gone:
It is the string of replies, but I wanted to repeat that so they make sense.
This seller was all rah, rah right before Thanksgiving:

Quote:Thank you everyone that has been such a huge help here. There are so many great people in WP, but I have to close. I understand it takes time to build a business, but sales here are close to nothing, and I have to pay the bills. I must say I have had items listed here now over 4 months with no sales,
I moved them to E and they sell right away. go figure. Maybe WP just needs more time to bring in buyers. I can no longer be selling over there to pay for my place here.
Best of luck to all and have a Merry Christmas.

Quote:I, too, am so frustrated. I've been here over 4 months, and had 1 sale, which of course, doesn't cover the monthly fees. I feel as though I'm invisible.
The only activity I've been involved in here, is relisting the expired items. Although I check the boards every day, I haven't participated in the breakfast club for a while, because I didn't/don't want to be negative. But it's getting harder & harder.
Then I think that my items are bad, pictures awful, descriptions the worst, and my prices too high. But I do sell an occasional item over THERE.
I really don't know the answer. I can only say that it's frsutrating and very disheartening.

Quote:Yes it is discouraging with no sales since end of sept. even the Wagglepoppers not looking at share your wares. But I still have high hopes that people will come. I see others claiming success with lots of sales. Well the Christmas Season is almost over for mailorder I can no longer give a Christmas delivery for Canada and the US is coming to a close in just a few days. But as encourgement Valintines Day Sales are just around the corner hopefully.
Quote:I am in the process of closing too... Yes I would rather pay 5% than 10% but at least at the other place I had sales... Good luck over there....
Quote:Good bye and good luck. I know how you feel, there are so many auction type websites out there now that are free or minimum monthly fees, it is hard to decide where to go and list! My plan was to be off eBay by jan 2007 and here at WP completely. But the way things are going I think I have to rethink my plan. I am not a business, I am just selling stuff from my home and my homecrafted items. And, not making sales is hard and I am losing money I could be spending on my kids.
