OT... I'm building my own MSN Live site... I have so many sites now, I need a hub site to direct people to all the others...
Email me your logo and your website address (ebay, ecrater, blujay, etc. stores are fine too...) and I'll put it on my favorite sellers page with a link... if you don't have a logo, just email the site address.
I'll post my site address soon... have more tweaking to do...

Quote:Â Congrats NJR on your sales. Crafting Kits are very popular, no matter what the theme. I don't know what your per item cost is but at Hobby Lobby they are very expensive. Your prices are a deal for any crafter. Good luck with the store too.
Hey nana girl - thanx so much for the well wishes. I'll tell ya.....I am letting some of my stuff go cheap - wanna get rid of it.....I have TONS! Cross stitch kits can get expensive, that's for sure. We don't have a Hobby Lobby here - that's a cute name for a store. Again, thanx much, I appreciate it.

If any of you sell new items you should open a PriceGrabber store: the stores are free and there are no listing fees. FVF when an item sells is $1 + 5.75%
one reason to open a PriceGrabber store: eyeballs (Alexa rank 663 and 23 million monthly unique visitors)

tip for eBay storeowners: register a domain name and point it at your ebay store, and put the domain name on all invoices, correspondence with buyers. Then when you open a website (or an Ecrater store, etc) you can redirect the domain to your new site and everyone who bookmarked it will go to the new site--this worked very well for us in 2003/4.
Quote:Hello Members,
Just "popping" in to say hello this morning and upate everyone on current events and activities
Interesting statistics over the past couple of weeks. We are getting a much higher than usual rate of "register to purchase" registrations (registrations just prior to bid or purchase) and also a much higher than usual rate of new Store openings.
Both are good indicators that some of what we are doing "behind the scenes" is working in that we are exposing ourselves to different and/or new channels, and it is paying of in direct sales and increased seller participation.
We are in a constant state of review with all of our marketing efforts, figuring out what works, what does not, what's too expensive relative to response and where we are seeing results. We have found out it is pretty easy to waste a lot of money if it is spent in the wrong places or on the wrong outlets, but learning what does not work is valuable information. It's not an exact science or easy, but every passing day brings us closer to getting the right mix and results.
Retail traffic in general is markedly down across just about all online (and many offline) retailers, but that is the nature of selling in that it's a "cyclical" process. Long-term success means being able to recognize that and ride out the valleys and peaks and use longer-term results as your gauge.
As a company, we go through the same process. Succeeding in today's retail environment can take years, not months or weeks, and it takes constant strategizing and research and reworking. In the end, it's those companies that can do those things that have the greatest success.
We think Wagglepop is shaping up nicely as a place where buyers and sellers can save, can transact and interact in a courteous and respectful environment, and where the membership body and management work together to build and evolve for the overall success of the site.
Work continues on the Q1 integrations and you'll start to see some integrations shortly, while others are in extended development after a few bugaboos (ok, well, more than a few LOL) popped up during testing. Just as soon as I have firm timetables I will post an updated schedule.
We hope that everyone is noticing and enjoying the new site performance aspects, particularly the new search engine, the new search "spelling & suggestion" tool, and the speed of browsing or keyword searching.
We would like to thank members that posted or emailed with details about search issues. With that information we cleared up a bug that was causing a "hesitation" in some browsers. It's always the intermittent issues that are hardest to track down, and in this regard membership was invaluable in helping us to find and fix issue. Site search is now operating at 100%.
Over the next few weeks as we end the first quarter and head into the second, we'll be continuing integrations of new features and functions, and continue adjusting/implementing the scheduled marketing.
Remember, slow and steady really does win the race. Just one new Store per day for Wagglepop and one extra sale per week for sellers means, after three years, about 1000 more Stores, and for sellers about 150 customers in your base and possible sales (or multiple sales!)
"Instant and fast" business success was a unique eBay dynamic from 5 long years ago for many. The "list and wait" dynamic is gone now (even on eBay) and not likely to ever return. Building a business online is going to take more work, harder work, and smarter work that ever before as all business worldwide discover the power of the internet to make customers and sales.
As a company we embrace that challenge, and we will do everything possible to help all of our membership achieve each and every one of their buying and selling goals.
We're just getting started

The above was posted on WP this morning bolding is mine. Now here is a post from Feb 13.
Quote:Hello Members,
Just a quick addition regarding any questions or curiosities about the depth of the campaign and our expecations on how it will affect the marketplace that I thought might be worthy of discussion.
Our projections for January 1st 2008 are:
1. 3125 Stores 2. 1.5 million listings in all formats
Imagine the effect that will have on our already active marketplace
Karen - WP Customer CareÂ
Looks like Ray changed his projections just a little bit. :blinkie:
The latest rah-rah thread from Karen has been posted (interesting... no cheerleader responses yet).
Towards the bottom, this gem:
Quote:Just one new Store per day for Wagglepop and one extra sale per week for sellers means, after three years, about 1000 more Stores, and for sellers about 150 customers in your base and possible sales
OK, first - I thought target stores Jan. 2008 was 3,125 (according to Wagglepop Today Benchmarks). So what they're saying now is by 2010 they'll have 1,000 stores? Uh yeah, we have an eBay contender here.
Second, how many Poppers (even the die hard ones) are going to work that hard for 3 years to obtain 150 customers and
possible sales?
This is almost getting to the point that I can't bear to watch anymore. You know that feeling when you just want to grab someone and shake them and get them to wake up and listen to you? WAKE UP POPPERS!

eclectica Good morning
I see you caught that too. I know what you mean it's getting harder to watch. It will be interesting to see if any of the sellers question why there is such a big difference from what they said in Feb. to what they say now. But I doubt any will question it. The one in Feb just sounded unreal I thought no way they are going to do that. The one they posted today sounds like 3 years of hard work and paying fees with not too much to show for it.Â
Scoop,
Thank you for that C & P from the WP forum.Â
It seems to me Ka/Ray can't remember the scam plan benchmarks so here they are.
http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/Accessory/wagglepop-today
The only thing that that message from the WP forum proves is that 1 store a day and 1 new sale per week per seller is more money in Ray's pocket. Again Ka/Ray says nothing about bringing in new buyers for his customers the sellers. What a joke and I feel sorry for those who are still there believing all the smoke and mirrors.
Ray don't think we didn't realize the WP store count has risen the past 2 days. Flipped a few switches didn't you Ka/Ray. It was all a lead up to your sermon. WP can't and will not succeed for very good reason. There is no advertising, there is nothing that makes it any different from any number of the other rscript sites & most of all there is a complete idiot scam artist at the helm.

Sweet, good to hear your voice so to speak. I've been out-of-town for the last few days and leave again tomorrow. I haven't chewed with our dear banana since last Wednesday. Did the tornado touch the area she lives in? Keep us posted if you hear anything!!!
Now you've got me worried... :blinkie:
