For those of you who haven't the time (because you're too busy being deadbeat, "lazy" bums), here's a synopsis of the Grand Analysis that was so "data intensive" it took nearly a week to compile:
What AndRay says: Whine, whine, whine; blame, blame, blame
What AndRay DOESN'T say: What WP could have done better; where WP went wrong; how WP intends to market; what WP intends to do to further the business; what WP's projections are and how WP intends to achieve them; sales reports; business plans; projections, etc. In short, a true analysis of the BUSINESS.
Oh, wait! WP's not a business. IT'S A CULT!!!!!!!!! with monthly dues -- run by a guy who is sleeping with the enemy.
So, "raise the sails", Poopers! It's a beautiful day in fantasyland.
Boy, that was hard to read through and boring as all get out! DB I like your summary much better! Calling all karma gremlins DB just called you all a CULT! LOL
Quote:What AndRay DOESN'T say: What WP could have done better; where WP went wrong; how WP intends to market; what WP intends to do to further the business; what WP's projections are and how WP intends to achieve them; sales reports; business plans; projections, etc. In short, a true analysis of the BUSINESS.
DB very well said. These are exactly the types of things that should have been in the analysis. These are the issues a true business would be addressing.  Even if this so called merger was in the works at WP which I find very hard to swallow. In the end it was WP who made all the wrong decisions. That's what drove the sellers away not the negative talk. If the right decisions had been made if the sellers had not been treated rudely things could be different right now despite the negative talk But what WP did time after time was just confirm what others were saying.
This whole analysis is nothing more than a :peepants: blaming everyone but themselves for their failure. The notion that over 700 store sellers who left are nothing more than non paying complainers and failures is ridiculous. Most of these sellers have gone on and have done better than they ever did on WP. There is only one person to blame for WP's failure and we all know who that is.
DB your right WP is not a business no true business would ever put a report out like that.

ha ha ha ha ha! OMG you are not going to believe THIS! The dirty rat bas*ards are RAISING the ebay motors insertion fees! $1.00 to 9.99 is now .35 instead of .30! Holy cripes , these mo****r f****ers got some BIG BIG balls. Jesus. What's next? They gonna come to my house and shoot my cat? So, basically, Im begging STILL for the honor of relisting, just so I can pay MORE. Other than this, I am speechless --- every day something goes wrong or costs more. Ah yes, ebay, the perfect American company: charge more, deliver less, and tell your customer to go screw themselves, with a smile of course! Couldn't be any more disgusted with this lousy company. Dear Poppers....
Now that the big anal-ysis has been made, aren't you the least bit curious as to what's next in the works for Wagglepop? That subject was never addressed. Are you really interested in hearing about what And/Rays hopes and dreams for WP used to be? Wouldn't you have loved to have read about what he plans to do now? Do you even think that those "investors" ever even existed? I don't. I believe that if they existed, Ray would have done everything in his power to promote his site to achieve that 3000 store goal. Instead he did NO advertising, censored his forums and blamed everyone else.
Do you really believe that over 750 stores closed because they refused to pay their bill? Isn't that just a little over the top? In fact, when I decided to close my store, I contacted CS and asked them when I could close and not owe them for the next month. CS told me that if I closed it by a certain date, I would owe nothing... so that's what I did. So many people, after closing their stores, continued to be billed, harassed and emailed to try to get more money out of them. WP had been paid what was due to them but they continued to harass their sellers... or ex-sellers, I should say.
You don't have to believe me but at least hear me out. Ray (and yes its Ray, there is no Andrew) is a blamer. Nowhere in that anal-ysis did he talk of what WP has done wrong (which has already been covered in previous posts, so I won't go into detail), or more importantly, where it's going!!! Ray is selling on eBay again. Does he sell on WP? No. You have to ask yourself if that seems normal to you.
In a brave effort to sound hopeful, he told you to raise your sails... but if I remember reading in the history books in the olden days when a sailor didn't return from the sea, they assumed he sailed off the edge of the earth because everyone believed the earth was flat. WP is flat and if you set sail in hopes of discovering sales, you're going to fall off the edge.
My advice is this... find a new venue, start your own site or go back to eBay. I am still selling on eBay and am making sales and even with the fees am making a profit. A good business person can work around fees. After all, all businesses have expenses... I don't understand why some online sellers are so appalled at the fact of having to pay for expenses. Now granted, I refuse to pay WP $9.95 a month for no traffic but I don't mind paying eBay when I get 100's of hits to my ebay products every day. I'm paying for traffic and I don't mind. Looks to me like there might be an increase in WP fees in the future... and if you complain, Ray will say that WP fell because you didn't want to pay your fees... It'll be your fault for not wanting to pay higher fees or no traffic... not his fault for having to raise fees just to keep WP afloat because of the way he treats people... sound familiar?
I also have my own website and sell on eCrater and just joined PlunderHere... I've gotten sales on my site, on eCrater and am busy listing on PH.
Look... get out now. Didn't that post from Ray just sound weird? I mean, come on... blaming others for his failure? And keep in mind... I left in September of 2006!! As did most of the "older" posters here. It's now July of the following year!! How on earth could we possibly be responsible for the demise of WP? We haven't been there in 10 months! Almost a year! How can what we say over here affect what goes on over there?
Ray comes here to read... what he decides to do with the information we talk about here is competely and totally and utterly up to him. Many times, we will discuss something here and within 12 hours, there is a post on WP similar to the one here making a new rule or reprimanding a seller for something on his/her me page... He has gone as far as banning new buyers because he is so paranoid that it's one of us going over there to infiltrate.. Yes, he's banning real buyers... your buyers!! None of us goes over to cause trouble as far as bidding or buying (trust me, we would never do that...lol)... all we do is read the forums and copy and paste what we see. That's not illegal to do on a public forum. And they XXX out the names for privacy.
If you're lurking and reading my post and thinking to yourself... "She does have a point," maybe you need to stop lurking and realize that we are not naysayers, we are truth-tellers... plain and simple.
Ray... you did this to you. Not me, not DB, not Chiquita, not the guy down the street... YOU! You sit and place blame because you don't really want to make WP better, you just want to collect your $9.95 until there's no one left to collect it from.
I was one of the biggest cheerleaders there ever was on WP. I was sure that this site was gonna make the big time and we were all going to benefit from it cause we got in on the ground floor. Then strange things started to happen, deleted posts, nasty PM's from CS, censorship over everything, not being allowed to ask business questions about advertising, etc. So I left as did many others... but you caused that... not negativity, not naysaying, not us... YOU.
Ray... give it up. It's time.

This was one of the quotes that turned my head while at WP, and lead me sprinting like a rabbit in heat for the exit. Not only does Ray have one of the worst potty mouths on the net, he professes to be little Mr. Kindness and civility and DEMANDS (with an iron delete finger) the same of his followers. HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!!
Apart from that, in this famous rant he's whining like a wussy pee pants about a 5 cent increase -
FIVE CENTS - on an auction site that has more eyeballs on it than any other by miles. This demonstrates two things: (a)
Ray is controlled by greed, and (b)
Ray has no concept of business and ZERO business sense. Why should he care what eBay's fees are, as long as the item sells and he can get them back in the sales price -- something that is way more likely to happen if there are many eyeballs viewing the item. Did it ever occur to him that the 5 cents could be going into eBay's advertising budget to bring buyers to see his item? Any good business knows that to make money you have to spend money. Ray has NEVER learned that basic principle and never will. He may be cut out to be a scummy radio evangelist (send me your money and I'll pray for you), but definitely NOT a businessman.
I'll tell you what I would like to see. I'd like to see one of the poppers post on the board and ask the questions above to AndRay and see what kind of answers they get. Especially the first one "What could WP have done better" Instead of posting and priasing him for the so called analysis he did. What analysis? :blinkie:
What could we have done better is one of the first questions a business should analize when it does not reach it's goal.  Remember there is always room for improvement. But if you look at the so called analysis from AndRay WP did nothing wrong. AndRay took the easy way out and just put the blame on everyone else.
Let me try to help you out a little with part your analysis AndRay. Here are a couple of examples of questions you should be asking yourself about what WP could have done better.
Fee structure: One question asked of you way back on WP was "What am I getting for my money on WP that I can't get on numerous free sites. Maybe that should have made a little bell start ringing in your head. Maybe if you could not disclose all the information about your plans for this so called merger or marketing plans (which I don't believe was ever really in the works) would it have been better to start off with the site being free which would have put an end to that question. Then once you reached your level of participation and the so called merger went through then could start charging a fee when you could actually tell sellers what they were going to get for their money. Would that have been better AndRay? Maybe I can't say for sure if this would have helped reach the goal but this is the type of thing you should be asking yourself instead of pointing your finger at others.
Treatment of sellers and board policy: Has response from CC always been done in a professional business like manner? Answer No. Would it have been better if we just kept responses straight forward and business like instead of respones that consisted of name calling and complete rudness towards the sellers on your site. Answer Yes. Were we too quick to delete post and ban members for asking questions. Answer Yes. Would it have been better if we had let the questions be asked and discussed even if we could not disclose all information. Answer Yes.
Go ahead poppers ask AndRay the questions posted in the quote above I dare you.Â
Information to come within minutes
Please read and you will learn what a few of us already know about Ray, WP and Ray's future plans.

Ok. At the risk of sounding like a complete ass this morning...
I will repeat....
Ray has already given it up. He gave it up the end of March during the Grand Opening.Â
The "Andrew" analysis was posted as a smoke and mirrors effect and apparently it worked. Everyone
(with the exception of a select few of us) has focused on this current drivel and made it an issue. The entire post was hurriedly thrown together, as evidenced by the lack of continuity and incoherent thought processes, for the sole purpose of diverting attention away from what Truth posted yesterday.
Congratulations, you're still drinking the koolaid. He's just serving you a different flavor now.
Below is a screenshot of an images directory of a new website owned by Ray Romeo. If you need proof of ownership do a who is search on vpagrading.com

The images within that directory are of the hotlinked images in Ray's eBay store of which the eBay ID was recently changed.
Below is the only image that doesn't show up in the listings within Ray's eBay store and is what I described in a post yesterday before the analysis that was posted by Ray possing as Andrew.
More to come please allow me the time to explain all this and more.

P.S. this is a group effort.
