Powerseller,
If there are so many so called sales why does the homepage tote never change?

I'm sure there are sellers without stores. But it only makes sense that most sellers ARE store owners. But that's not the issue. The issue is THE LISTING TOTE BOARD IS A LIE
All items available for sale (IN STORES OR NOT IN STORES) would be available for search within the site. Right?
Let's try this AGAIN!
I added all the SEARCHABLE LISTINGS and came up with 86,274. And your explanation PS?

And the number will continue to remain the same until it is 'manually' updated after this discussion is noticed by a certain lurker. Then it will mysteriously change to show the decrease, followed by a post on the forum updating the members.
Edited to add (since I'm so forgetful today) that I wish I was a member in good standing for times like this. I'd like to see the post on the forum by KaRay explaining the listing number update after it is changed. :
ozarkman supports stealing a few months sellers fees and now we know powerseller doesn't care about false advertising as long as she is benifiting from it.

Quote:I find that hard to believe that those sellers would not know enough to take advantage of the $9.95 monthly fee.
So do I.Â
Before Overstock killed their site last month, 95% of the listings on the site were monthly subscription plan according to their CEO. Almost all of the listings on Amazon Marketplace, which has offered monthly subscriptions since 2000, are subscription plan.
Quote:Individual listings on WP are CHEAP to do.
Wrong. They are not cheap since there are several completely FREE sites that have sell through rates that are the same or higher than WP's.
Hey you guys, stop picking on PowerSeller.Â
It's KaRay we don't have any respect for. Lets pick on him - it's much more fun. :turkey1:
We know the numbers don't add up but not everyone will or is willing to believe it. Can we just agree to disagree? We can't win them all...
A new thread has been started entitled - Poppers: Why is WP so much better? Here we go again. New batch of sellers, new sets of eyes popping out of their sockets in delight and eventually, a new crop of disillusioned vendors. It's becoming a predictable cycle.

What absolutely amazes me are the ones who say they were there during WP1 and returned for WP2. :blinkie:
Of course, I can only assume they are also the ones who believed the 'doggy doo story' and that the site really was closed due to interference by trolls. :

A cycle that will eventually be broken.
Where's the thread? PSU or WP?
