WP down for anyone else?  The basement must have flooded... or is it snow in NY?  We are drowning here in PA.

Yep, guess that weather front Truth mentioned brought them down.

No reports of a power outage in poopland but I am told the local fire departments have been pumping basements all day long. My guess is Ka/Ray pulled the plug for fear that WP would still be running from the server with nobody at the controls from Ray's basement (power outage or flooded basement). It has rained all day long with an estimate of 4+ inches of rain thus far but it seems the storm has intensified in our area. Winds have picked up and rainfall rate has increased. I would not be surprised to see WP be offline until sometime on Monday or later.
I also noticed WP was down for a while earlier today.
let the truth be told

Platzki,
Ray needs more than a pontoon boat to keep WP afloat. He needs to suddenly develop the ability to walk on water and carry his laptop to safety.

I live in Bucks county right near the Neshaminy creek... Â a few more miles away is the Delaware. I've been watching the news... it's really bad and getting worse. Â I already have water in my basement... Â
 Happens every time...

I know the area... I'm a little north, in the Lehigh Valley. I've seen a few wet basements today, mine included!
Wp is back online. Here is the latest post from CC1
Quote:Hello Members,
Interesting reading
I'd like to add my own thoughts if I might on this rainy evening.
The reactions to the very existence of our community and Wagglepop itself has less to do with Wagglepop and more to do with reflecting on people in general.
Life is full of choices. Whether to be happy or sad, whether to help or hurt, whether to be in "the game" or on the sidelines as a jeering spectator.
Some people hear of Wagglepop and decide that it represents an opportunity and participate with a positive attitude and kind spirit, knowing that sometimes the best things in life are the ones we work for the most or hardest.
At the same time, for others it represents something new to treat with fear and disdain, extending what is likely a theme in their own lives of either disappointment or underachievement. It's not really about Wagglepop, but more about themselves.
In both instances, it is remarkable to note that rate at which people get "what they give" as almost all successes in life or business are people who share a common spirit of positivity and dedication with vision, and the failures trade nothing more than tawdry banalities and oppressive kindredship with a ferver that would embarrass most people.
History is full of those who work and succeed and build, while those who do not aspire to any of those things and condemn and criticize are quickly forgotten, as one replaces another, unremembered and nameless, without so much as even a footnote.
That culture of negativity is certainly sad, but it has absolutely nothing at all to do with Wagglepop. I think that's pretty obvious to most normal-headed people.
We build. We work together. We inspire ourselves as a community and company to be more than even we think we can be.
And there's nothing in the world that can change that

No, sadly enough Platz they will go form little yahoo groups, blame the trolls and eagerly await WP3. That's what they did after WP1. Several of the most adamant Koolaid drinkers there now were also cheerleaders the first go round. :blinkie:
I'm getting what I deserve I guess...just got the
'straighten up & increase your sales or we'll take away your little Powerseller logo' email today.Â
Ummm...eBay I have increased my sales. As a matter of fact they've doubled, but only 25% of them are thru you now. 75% is from my website. Â
I'm such a pathetic, negative thinking, no life loser. Â
River they took my powerseller status away, and about 3 days later I got my powerseller certificate in the mail.
:blinkie:
I don't have powerseller status, cuz I don't sell on the bay.
Ray here are some real philosophical quotes for you to ponder.
Quote:The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
Quote:The visionary lies to himself, the liar only to others.
Quote:To predict the behavior of ordinary people in advance, you only have to assume that they will always try to escape a disagreeable situation with the smallest possible expenditure of intelligence.
Quote:But thus do I counsel you, my friends: distrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful!
Quote:Talking much about oneself can also be a means to conceal oneself.
All of the above by Friedrich Nietzsche

We didn't get ours until a couple of months ago and we've been a PS for over a year.Â
I still want the coffee mug!! I bet Sneaky got one.Â
I've gotten to where I hate to list anything on there, but it's still working as an advertising tool to move them to our website. Plus sometimes we get bidding wars going and it sells higher than I would have ever priced for on the website.  :blinkie:Â
